GIS is a payment system that connects bank account management systems with the central clearing system.
GIS enables local clearing in Hungary through performing the message forwarding, accounting and analytics of payment transactions (single and group payments, direct debits). GIS helps automate clearing-related processes and prepares a variety of reports for the National Bank and the bank maintaining the account.
The ESB-based system communicates between the National Bank clearing system and the core systems through standard interfaces.
