GAMMA Monitoring and Automation go live at FirstOntario Credit Union

Hamilton, Canada, 15 Mar 2017—FirstOntario Credit Union (FOCU) went live with GAMMA which will now monitor and automate Temenos T24 processes for both online and COB operations. GAMMA was chosen as the preferred tool thanks to its variety of features, ABRIS’ huge presence in Canada and recommendations by our customers there.

Implementation

ABRIS completed the implementation of GAMMA in test environments in May 2016. The procedure was quite straightforward, one of the fastest in the history of GAMMA, thanks to the expertise of FOCU representatives, rapid decision-making, great communication and excellent remote access connections.

FOCU used the solution to monitor Temenos T24 test systems for several months during the implementation of the new core banking platform. With a little help from the ABRIS team, they implemented GAMMA in the production environment by themselves. FOCU now operates a GAMMA configuration with complete functionality. Beside other valuable features, this allows for monitoring COB and online processes and automating the COB from pre-COB to post-COB.

New GAMMA features

ABRIS has also introduced a new feature for Canadian Customers in the current version of GAMMA. The so-called Security Alert Monitor can monitor ATM and POS transactions and alert in case of a failure. It also sends an end-of-day pdf report about said alerts to the security team for auditing purposes.

Another new feature has also been introduced by request of FOCU. This allows the bank to run fully automated COBs at a specific time every day without the need to press a button.

FirstOntario is Abris’s fifth GAMMA client in Canada after Caisse Financial Group (CFG), Canadian Western Bank (CWB), EQ Bank (EQB) and Coast Capital Savings (CCS).
